Parking Deck

East Carolina University Parking and Transportation Services emailed a statement to students on Jan. 8 to deliver new updates on spring permits and parking changes due to COVID-19.

The statement said students can begin to purchase permits on Jan. 11 and parking zones will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“All vehicle registrations and permit purchases are conducted via PiratePort or by phone call only,” the statement said. “New and returning students can purchase permits online through PiratePort by clicking the Parking and Transportation Services tab or by calling the Parking and Transportation Office.”

All students who park on campus must have a permit and it must be displayed at all times when parking on-campus, according to the statement.

The statement said purchases made on weekdays by 2 p.m. will be available to pick up the next business day at the Parking and Transportation building between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon or between 1 and 4 p.m.

“Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, occupancy will be limited and face masks are required,” the statement said. “The online PiratePort option is strongly encouraged.”
