East Carolina University men’s basketball lost Chancellor White as a future Pirate on June 11 after the athlete announced his decommitment from the program.

Once White graduated from Foster High School in Richmond, Texas, in 2022 he planned to be a Pirate that fall. On October 13, 2020 White announced his commitment to ECU. White chose to be a Pirate over his other offers from various other schools such as Sam Houston State and Oral Roberts University.

White was recently in Greenville to tour the campus and facilities and tweeted that he was grateful for the ECU basketball staff and the City of Greenville.

White was rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins and described as “a talented and smooth two-guard.” He averaged 13.4 points as a freshman and ended his junior season with an 18.7 points per game average.

With Whites de-commitment, Elijah Jamison will be the only freshman to join ECU in the fall of 2022.
