East Carolina University women’s golf was recognized on Monday by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association with a national ranking of 11 in relation to it’s collective team GPA, according to a press release from ecupirates.com.

The Pirate golfers hit the books for a collective GPA of 3.825. The national rank of 11 marks the ninth time in program history that the Pirates received a top 25 ranking and the fifth time that the team has been ranked 11 or better, according to the release.

The six-person ECU squad saw four members named Division 1 All-America Scholars on June 29 in seniors Dorthea Forbrigd, Siranon Shoomee, Grace Yatawara and freshman golfer Caroline Hermes.

American Athletic Conference foe University of Cincinnati joins the Pirates in the top 25 at no. 17.
