The band, Parmlee, performs a concert in 2013.

Country rock band Parmalee, which was formed in 2001 in Greenville, North Carolina, will play the halftime show at the East Carolina University Homecoming football game on Oct. 2.

Posts on the ECU Athletics official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts announced the news in a video from band member Matt Thomas on Sept 29.

“I just want to let you guys know that we’re coming home this Saturday for the ECU Homecoming game. We’re playing the halftime show. It's going to be a big old party, we cannot wait, so glad to be back home in eastern Carolina, with East Carolina University. Let’s get rowdy in Dowdy,” Thomas said in the video.

Later posts on Sept. 30 said the concert will be presented by Designco Construction Inc. It also revealed that there will be a pregame acoustic show in the Carl and Connie Rogers Plaza.
