East Carolina University announces details of its fall 2022 commencement ceremony.

In a news release sent out on Sept. 22 by East Carolina University News Services, ECU’s fall 2022 commencement ceremony was announced.

According to the news release, the ceremony will be held in person at Minges Coliseum on Dec. 16 at 9 a.m.

“East Carolina University’s commencement ceremony is a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our students,” the release stated. “This time-honored tradition congratulates them for a job well done and encourages them to accomplish amazing things in the future.”

According to the release, all ECU fall 2022 graduates as well as eligible summer 2022 graduates will be required to complete an RSVP form in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. The RSVP process will open on Oct. 7 and will close on Nov. 18. Those who complete the RSVP by Nov. 18 will receive additional instructions the release stated.

According to the release, ECU intends to host college specific recognition ceremonies on campus on Dec. 16 which will require tickets for entry unlike the commencement ceremony.

“Additional updates and information will be posted throughout the semester on the ECU commencement website including details about the commencement speaker, parking, hotels, RSVPs and more,” the release stated.
