Crime Logs are not done within the partnership of ECU PD and The East Carolinian, as this publication is meant to act as an additional resource for Pirate Nation. Below are listings of criminal activity that has occurred on or within proximity of main campus.

Jan. 7, 2022

On Red Banks Rd. & Plaza Dr. charges of Warrant Service for Other Agency, Possession of Schedule II (Cocaine), Possession of Marijuana < 1/2 oz., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resist, Delay or Obstruct an Officer and Violation of Valid Protective Order was all cleared by arrest at 2:23 a.m.

At 9:12 a.m., a weapon was found on campus as well as a charge of Possession of Marijuana < 1/2 oz. at the Main Campus Student Center Parking Deck and was cleared by arrest and citation.

Jan. 8, 2022

At Scott Residence Hall at 1:49 p.m. Simple Assault and a Weapon on Campus Misdeamenor has an Open Investigation following it with a Pending Warrant being Obtained.

Extortion was found at Ballard East Residence Hall between Jan. 7 at 11 p.m. and Jan. 8 at 2:25 p.m. and has an open investigation.

A Weapon on Campus (Felony) was cleared by arrest at Cotton Residence Hall at 3:31 p.m.

Jan. 9, 2022

Clement Residence Hall had charges of Larceny at 10:30 a.m. and there is an open investigation following it.

There is an open investigation following Larceny charges at Jarvis Residence Hall that occurred between Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Possession of Marijuana <1/2 oz. was cleared by citation at Ballard East Residence Hall at 6:14 p.m.

Jan. 10, 2022

On 14th St. and Evans St., there was a Warrant Service for Other Agency at 7:41 p.m. and was cleared by arrest.

At The Greenway-College Hill Dr. Possession of Marijuana < 1/2 oz. (x2) and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia (x2) were both cleared by citation at 7:49 p.m.

An Aggravated Misdemeanor Possession Marijuana at the Town Commons took place at 9:40 p.m. and was cleared by citation.

Jan. 11, 2022

On the Exterior East Side of Jones Residence Hall, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia was cleared/prosecution declined at 9:49 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana < 1/2 oz. was cleared by citation at the First St. Place Apartments PVA at 10:07 p.m.

Jan. 12, 2022

A Hit & Run -Failure to Stop was cleared by citation on the 14th St. & Gravel lot at 2:38 a.m.

There is an open investigation following a Weapon on Campus (Misdemeanor) at the Bus Stop on Ames St. Howell St. (SouthGreenville Elementary & ECU Lab School) at 7:25 a.m.

At the Eakin Student Recreation Center, there was a charge of First Degree Trespassing between 4:30 and 5:01 p.m.

Larceny and Injury to Real Property Charges were found at Greene Residence Hall at 8:46 p.m. and an open investigation still follows it.

Jan. 13, 2022

At Jones Residence Hall, Injury to Real Property was found between midnight and 10:37 p.m. and has an open investigation.

Jan. 14, 2022

Possession of Marijuana < 1/2 oz. was found at Clement Residence Hall at 1:04 a.m. and was cleared/prosecution declined.

On College Hill Dr. Possession of Fraudulent ID and Underage Drinking was cleared by citation at 2:28 a.m.

A Warrant Service for Other Agency was cleared by arrest at 9:32 p.m. on 3rd St. and Meade St.

Underage Drinking (x3) was found on Founders Dr. near Whichard Bldg and cleared by citation (x3) at 10:46 p.m.

Jan. 15, 2022

A Weapon on Campus (Misdemeanor) (x2) was found on 5th St. and Founders Dr. at midnight and was cleared by citation (x2).

At Still Life Club, Larceny charges were found, and has an Open Investigation following it as the incident occurred between 1 and 1:15 a.m.

Injury to Real Property was found at Fletcher Residence Hall at 11:58 a.m. and in the investigation went inactive.

Jan. 16, 2022

At Jones Residence Hall at 3:09 p.m. Injury to Real Portery charges were found and has an open investigation following it.
