Editor's Note: The East Carolinian Crime Logs are derived from East Carolina University Police Department’s (ECU PD) public crime logs accessible to all individuals. Below are listings of criminal activity that has occured on or within proximity of main campus. 

Nov. 3, 2021

An open investigation is being conducted of obtaining property by false pretense incident that occurred in Greenville on Oct. 28. 

Referrals were issued for six liquor violations that occurred at several on-campus residence halls. Two in Scott Residence Hall on Oct. 28 at 12:20 a.m., one at the back entrance to Scott Residence Hall on Oct. 29 at 12:45 a.m., two at Legacy Residence Hall on Oct. 30 at 1:30 a.m. and one at the front steps of Jones Residence Hall on Oct. 30 at 1:45 a.m. 

Two fondling incidents occurred at Jones Residence Hall before Sept. 28. 

Nov. 4, 2021

An open investigation is being conducted on a larceny incident at Joyner Library on Nov. 3 between 8 to 9:40 a.m.

A citation was issued for possession of  less than ½ ounce of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia at Jarvis Residence Hall at 4:39 p.m.

Referrals were issued for six liquor violations that occurred at several on-campus residence halls. One in Fletcher Residence Hall on Oct. 30 at 3:30 a.m., one at White Residence Hall on Oct. 31, at 2:10 a.m., three outside the front doors of Greene Residence Hall on Oct. 31 at 2:15 a.m. and one at Fletcher Residence Hall on Oct. 29 at 12:05 a.m.

A citation was issued for marijuana paraphernalia at Ballard East Residence Hall on Oct. 29 at 12:05 a.m.

Nov. 5, 2021

A citation was issued for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce at College Hill Drive at 12:10 a.m.

An arrest was made for a warrant service for another agency at 4:21 p.m. at the corner of 1st Street and Elm Street.

A citation was issued for the possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce and two citations for possession of marijuana paraphernalia at 10:50 p.m. at the corner of 10th Street and Washington Street.

An incident of communicating threats occurred between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. at the Minges-Williams Arena that resulted in a cleared/victim refusing to cooperate.

Nov. 6, 2021

An arrest was made for warrant service for another agency at 4:03 p.m. at the corner of 1st Street and Jarvis Street. 

A citation was issued for a possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia at 8:35 p.m. at the corner of 10th Street and College Hill drive. 

Nov. 7, 2021

An arrest was made for a hit and run-property damage and failure to heed for lights or siren at 1:22 a.m. at the corner of 5th and Reade Street. 

An assault on a female and communicating threats was cleared/victim refused to cooperate at 9:02 a.m. at West End Dining Hall. 

An open investigation was opened between Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. and 12 p.m. on Nov. 7 on an incident of larceny that occured at the bike rack south of Garrett Hall. 

A citation was issued for a possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce at 10:03 p.m. at the 14th street gravel lots. 

Nov. 8, 2021

A citation was issued for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce at 8:30 p.m. at the Greenway on College Hill.

Nov. 9, 2021

An investigation has been opened on an incident of larceny of auto parts that occured between Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 4 at 12 p.m. at the 4th Street gravel lots beside building 167. 

An incident of rape occured on Nov. 5 at Greene Hall. 

An aggravated assault and rape occured on Oct. 29 at the Theta Chi Fraternity House. 

An aggravated assault and rape occurred between late night Oct. 6 and early morning of Oct. 7 at the Theta Chi Fraternity House.

Nov. 10, 2021

An arrest was made on a warrant service for another agency at 3:10 p.m. at the corner of 1st and Eastern Street. 

Nov. 11, 2021

An open investigation is underway for an instance of graffiti vandalism occurring at 5:12 a.m. on the sidewalk at Wright Circle.

An open investigation is underway for an instance of graffiti vandalism occurring between 4:49 and 4:53 a.m. on the sidewalk northeast of the Main Campus Student Center.

An instance of communicating threats occurred between Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. and midnight on Nov. 11 at Jones Hall. 

Six referrals were issued for six liquor violations that occurred on Nov. 6 at 2:40 a.m. at Legacy Hall.

Nov. 12, 2021

An open investigation is underway for an injury to personal property that occurred between 1 and 2 a.m. at Fletcher Hall.

An open investigation is underway for simple affray at Fletcher Hall that occurred at 10:37 p.m. on Nov. 11.

An open investigation is underway for breaking and entering at Fletcher Hall that occurred at 1:30 a.m. 

An open investigation is underway for an instance of graffiti vandalism that occurred at Ballard East between 12 and 4 p.m. 

Nov. 13, 2021

Three arrests were made, two for simple affray and one for simple assault and warrant service for another agency at Tyler Hall at 12:36 a.m.

A citation was issued for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce and possession of Schedule VI (THC) at 5:28 p.m. at the corner of 12th Street and Evans Street. 

Three citations were issued, two for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce and two for possession of marijuana paraphernalia at 7:42 p.m. at First Street Apartments. 

A citation and arrest were made for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce and warrant service for another agency at 11:25 p.m. at Elm Street Park. 

Nov. 14, 2021

A citation was issued for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce at 3:07 p.m. at Tyler Hall.

Nov. 15, 2021

An open investigation is underway for an instance of larceny that occurred between Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 9:00 a.m. at the bike rack on the southwest side of Garrett Hall.

A citation was made for possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce at 8:42 p.m. at the corner of 5th Street and Holly Street.
