Crosswalks, located through campus and downtown Greenville, allow pedestrians to cross the street safely. 

Memorial Day is May 29, so here are some things to do over the weekend in Greenville, North Carolina.

May 26

For the young ones in the family, at the Painted Peacock from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. there will be a dinosaur painting activity to go along with a dinosaur themed story. This activity is for children six-years old and under and will be $15 per child. Registration is not required.

There will be two bands performing for those looking for something later at night. The Blackened Kraken Bar and Grill will host Swimming with Sharks from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. At Dirty Dan’s the Stone Age Romeos, a cover band from Raleigh, N.C. will perform from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

East Carolina University’s baseball team (42-16, 18-6 American Athletic Conference) will be playing at 1 p.m. at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida, the opponent has not been announced yet. The streaming service has not been announced yet for the game but be sure to check back for more updates.

May 27

An adult alternative to the kids day at the Painted Peacock is a paint you pet night from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. hosted by Wine and Design. Reservations must be made online and prior to the start time. Guests are allowed to bring their own wine, beer and snacks.

Pitt Street Brewing Company will host The Comedy Pitt, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tom Simmons, Kage Jaxen and Matt Chase will be there according to the flyer by the brewing company. Another live event will be at Molly’s Community Café from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Billy Batts and the Made Men will be performing.

May 29

Wrap up the extended weekend with an open mic night hosted by Aj Murphy’s from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
