The Zombie Radio Corp Program is an opportunity for you to learn how to be the best on-air personality you can be and to show us you want to work for WZMB 91.3 FM or any of our affiliated Student Media outlets. This program is not designed to deny you the opportunity to work for WZMB, but rather to ensure you are as prepared as possible once you do become a staff member.
The Zombie Radio Corps is an eight-week program that includes informational sessions on assigned Monday nights and practicum experience earned through the ensuing week. The informational sessions will cover such topics as FCC rules and guidelines, the law of slander, building an on-air personality, preparing a show, radio ethics, interviewing guests, gathering news, announcing and production. Practicum experience will include learning and doing voice tracking, Adobe Audition demonstrations, PSAs, working the board and doing your own show.
To successfully complete the program, you must earn a 23 out of a total 25 points. You will earn one point for every group session you attend, and another point for that week's scheduled practicum experience. You will also earn four points for passing the board exam and five points for the written exam.
For information on when the next Zombie Radio Corp Program is, contact WZMB Adviser Shayna Jones at email@example.com.
